Sonos' brilliant listening experience illuminates the nature of what we hear.

Do you remember the first piece of music you ever listened to? When you try hard enough, you might be able to recall a song that shows just how powerful music can be. Music affects our mindset, emotions and morale like no other cultural form and is such a huge part of so many people's daily lives.

There are, however, few things that test the boundaries of music. Artists like The Rolling Stones and Kanye West, and soundtracks that are associated with film and TV. Then a new technology, like Sonos, blows the competition out of the water and gives people a chance to delve deeper into the music they love, in ways they've never experienced. That experience is the Brilliant SoundExperience.

The Vinyl Factory in Soho was the decided location for this three-day pop-up activation which gave people the chance to gain a deeper insight into how sound works through some mind blowing interactive installations, supported by their new Google Assistant partnership.

Proving that music ignites emotion, and fosters a fun brand experience, Sonos brought special in-depth listens from The National and Slowthai to demonstrate how to not only hear this as sound, but to see sound displayed as light and to feel the sound by entering into the inner workings of an album.

The Brilliant Sound Experience pop-up activation let you drop by the Sound Lounge and listen to some music and test the Google Assistant on Sonos. The first immersive feature, Structure of a Record, featured The National's 'Rylan' from their album, I Am Quick To Find. The other song 'Toaster,' a calming yet busy atmosphere Slowthai created for his introspective bars for the song from his debut album, There's Nothing Great About Britain. This is where attendees were able to delve into creating a track and see how the sounds become an album. The Nationals' Scott Devendorf said

“For many of our fans, ‘Rylan’ has taken on a life of its own. It’s great we’re able to give people the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the song – both audibly and visually – through The Brilliant Sound Experience.

The second immersive brand experience, entitled Emotion of Music, featuring curated tracks from the Beggars Group catalogue, you could use the EEG headband when listening to captivating songs from the iconic Beggars Group labels (4AD, Matador, Rough Trade Records, XL Recordings and Young Turks) to feel how the human relation to music is so strong and can unleash a variety of emotions.
