The Brief.
Overbury tasked us with producing a Christmas event to give back to their employees after a difficult 18 months, whilst emphasising their brand strategy of achieving net-zero by 2030. Overbury wanted the ballroom of the Intercontinental Park Lane to wow their staff.
The Solution.
We designed an immersive winter wonderland walkway, that had the feel of stepping into Narnia, complete with real Christmas trees, a living wall photo opportunity and a gif photo booth.
To hit net-zero we ran a comprehensive carbon audit for the event to improve the event's sustainability and reduce emissions where possible. Take a look at our sustainability policy to find out all we are doing at Lyra Studios to reduce our emissions.
We honed in on all post-event channels to reduce waste. All 32 Christmas trees were donated to Single Homeless Project, the living table centres were given to guests as presents and all props were rented, reclaimed or will be reused.
A net-zero event.
Overbury wanted a 30-second clip to capture the experience and send it to the attendees. As a full-service brand experience agency, we were able to meet their demands and produced the short clip below.
How did we help Overbury reach their strategic objectives?
-
We designed an infographic and sent it to all staff prior to the event, highlighting the net-zero event. This plants the seed of the Overbury 2030 net-zero mission.
-
We curated an immersive walkway with real Christmas trees natural props, coupled with an impressive light show to wow the attendees giving back after a difficult two years.
As part of Overbury's brand strategy, we created a sustainability infographic with key statistics about the event displayed in a flyer and given to all attendees in a gift bag. This was to plant the seed of the companies overall aim of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2030.
“Just wanted to say a massive thank you for Saturday, everything went so well and we have received such great feedback already, people loved Narnia!”
