The Brief.
We were tasked with designing and creating an eye-catching installation for Co-op Funeralcare. The installation is a visual representation of their campaign “The Elephant In The Room”, which looks to dismantle the taboo around talking about death.
The Solution.
We teamed up with WPR Agency, for their impactful campaign with Co-op Funeralcare, addressing the uncomfortable conversation about grief and funeral wishes. Research by Co-op Funeralcare has revealed that more than half of the nation (58%) struggles to discuss these topics. To begin those conversations, we were brought into the project to design, build and install the installation in Potter’s Field. The install was completed within 2 and a half hours of arriving on site in time for broadcasters from Good Morning Britain and BBC Breakfast to shine a light on this taboo topic.
The results?
The in-person experiential activation got people talking and delivered:
56 print or online coverage pieces, including 27 national hits from the Metro, Mail+, and Evening Standard.
A 3% increase in media share of voice for Co-op Funeralcare during the campaign period.
Far-reaching public engagement, including mentions by Carolyn Harris MP, creator of the government’s Children’s Funeral Fund scheme.
